About

I am a designer, maker and communicator in the culture of dress and textiles.

I started out with a foundation diploma in Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins and went on to work in the costume industry in film. In the pursuit of being a better designer I sought out technical training; I drew together my own degree in tailoring, garment construction and pattern cutting by attending courses at a broad range of institutions and through practical work that taught me on the job. I then went on to work in bespoke womenswear and alterations .

Along the way, it is the culture of dress and textiles which has fascinated and inspired me. Through my own research I am aware of the ecological and societal damage which the apparel industry perpetuates and seek to help to heal this through all the mediums of my work.
I am now working both independently and collaboratively to design, make and communicate a culture of dress and textiles that allows us to harmonise with ourselves, our environment and each other.
