A Lund Fellowship funded research project into the current viability and future possibility of textiles (hides and protein fibre) as a diversification option for farmers in the High Weald Landscape. Informed by both regional and national insights.

​To look in detail at how an industry of bio-regional fibre might in future be an option for improved returns for mixed regenerative farming and a material source to revive technical and craft based enterprises as well as provide training and employment opportunities. ​​

Likewise I am interested to hear from fibre and hide processors, craft practitioners and designers who would like to share their successes and challenges in sourcing or providing processing  services for local fibre and hides. ​
